Dentures & Partials An Overview
Lanier Family & Cosmetic Dentistry understands the emotional and physical difficulty that comes with losing your teeth. Dentures and partial dentures can help to improve your quality of life by restoring confidence, function and health to your smile.
We carefully designs dentures that will look natural, fit comfortably and securely in your mouth.
Will dentures change my appearance?
Yes, usually for the better! Dentures help maintain your face’s shape after loosing your teeth. Implant-supported dentures prevent premature facial sagging, supports natural jawbone growth, and more.
Do I need to remove my dentures at night?
Yes, in most cases you will need to remove traditional dentures before you go to sleep. This can prevent accidental damage. Your dentist will advise you on how to care for your dentures at night.
When should I replace my dentures?
Dentures require replacement every five to ten years. Once they start getting uncomfortable to wear, it’s time to replace them. Your mouth changes with time, but your dentures do not adjust to that change. Have your dentures checked during your dental visits to ensure the best performance.
"I was amazed with Dr. Brown's artistry and attention to detail. The process of replacing my old veneers exceeded all of my expectations. Even the temporaries were beautiful. Absolutely, positively recommend her and her staff"Attention to detail
"We have never been to a dental practice that makes us feel as "a part of the family". To be treated as though we are the most important patients makes us know that our dental care and personal well being is very important to Dr. Alla Brown and her staff. They use the most updated techniques and products to ensure that we are provided with great service."Treated as though we are the most important patients
“Being a disabled adult, I tend to get treated one of two ways (ignore OR treated like a child that needs extra special help) when I arrive at a doctor/dentist office for the first time. Yesterday at my first appt at Lanier Family Dentistry, I did not receive either of those. In fact, I was treated with genuine smiles and great conversations outside of the normal "professional" dialogue. Within a matter of minutes, I left as if I had been visiting this office for years. The staff was also incredible when it came time to transferring me from my wheelchair into the lounge chair. They followed my lead, took control of the situation without me having to instruct them (ie moving my legs and moving them onto the chair), and made the entire situation feel "normal"! This has been by best experience I have had with any doctor/dentist to date! THANK YOU!!!!!"Incredible Customer Support
"I have a phobia about going to the dentist and it seemed it disappeared when I walked into the room. I have never felt so comfortable in my life sitting in a dentist chair. Usually I am sweating and shaking."I have never felt so comfortable in my life sitting in a dentist chair
Dentures & Partials What to Expect
Full dentures are used to replace all of the upper or lower teeth. They can either be fixed or removable. Fixed dentures are anchored by dental implants. This type of restoration provides an excellent and long term solution with no chance of slippage.
Implant supported dentures also help to maintain the bone structure in the face. While there is a greater investment initially, implant supported dentures provide superior long term benefits.
Partial dentures are used to replace several missing teeth. Like full dentures, they can either be fixed or removable. Partial dentures are similar to a dental bridge. If the partial denture is fixed, it is either secured in place using dental crowns or dental implants.
