About Botox® & Dermal Fillers

Chances are, you already know what Botox® and dermal fillers are. You might not know that your dentist can now provide these minimally invasive cosmetic treatments to reduce the appearance of frown lines and wrinkles.

So called “botox dentists” are credentialed by the Georgia Board of Dentistry. Dr. Brown recently completed the necessary requirements to offer these cosmetic treatments to patients of our practice.

Dr. Brown only offers high quality, FDA approved cosmetic injectables to ensure the highest level of safety and results for her patients:

  • Botox is an FDA approved treatment used to temporarily reduce wrinkles. This cosmetic treatment works by relaxing the muscles in the forehead that cause deep frown lines. Most patients achieve results that last up to four months.
  • There are several different types of dermal fillers. The most popular fillers contain hyaluronic acid (HA), which is found in the body naturally and responsible for helping to keep the skin hydrated. HA fillers plump the skin around the nose and mouth to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I get Botox® from the dentist?
As a dentist, Dr. Brown and Dr. Newberry are extremely knowledgeable about the facial anatomy. It is also arguable that a dentist has more skill giving injections in the face than most other doctors. This hands-on experience combined with the continuing education courses make our dentists an excellent choice for Botox® and dermal filler treatment.
